The Royal Heart Pendant
Salvador Dalí was a prominent Spanish Surrealist painter born in Catalonia, Spain. Dali was a pacemaker recipient. He died from heart failure at age 84.
This jewel, the first of Dali's 'moving' objects d'art, was created in honor of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. With its center of red rubies, it proved to be the sensation of the collection! The rubies represent the Queen, whose heart beats constantly for her people. The heart of virgin gold symbolizes the people, sheltering and protecting their ruler. Gold plated brass with Swarovski crystals and faux pearls.
